Globalization Partners, a global PEO and employer of record firm that helps companies expand internationally, today announced that it has been recognized as a top women-led business in Massachusetts by The Boston Globe Magazine and the Commonwealth Institute, a Boston-based nonprofit that supports female business leaders. Globalization Partners appeared as number 67 on the list of the Top 100 Women-Led Businesses in Massachusetts, which represented public, private and non-profit organizations “defining the future of the state’s economy,” and included TJX, Vistaprint, Bentley University and Brigham and Women’s Health Care, among other notable organizations.
“It is a huge honor to be included among a group of revered, women-led companies that are all contributing to advancing Massachusetts’ reputation as a hub of business, innovation and impact,” said Nicole Sahin, founder and CEO, Globalization Partners. “I am committed to helping the Boston ecosystem continue to thrive, and I am grateful to the Globe Magazine and the Commonwealth Institute for recognizing the great work my team has achieved over the course of the past year.”
Globalization Partners was founded in 2012 by Sahin with a mission to help U.S. companies expand overseas. The company eliminates the time- and cost-intensive need to set up an entity by taking on the risk and associated HR, payroll and benefit needs when its clients need to make an international hire. With operations and expertise in more than 170 countries, Globalization Partners cuts the cost of global expansion by as much as 94 percent, reducing time to onboard a new employee from months to days and turning international payroll and HR management into a fast and easy process.
Under Sahin’s leadership, and with guidance and support from her nearly all-female senior leadership team, the organization has experienced major growth. Its inclusion on the Top 100 list comes on the heels of Globalization Partners being named as the fastest growing private women-led business in the United States on this year’s Inc. 500 list, as well as the second fastest-growing private company in Massachusetts. Most recently, Globalization Partners has expanded its sales team with the recent appointment of Dave Hughson as National Director of Business Development. The company has also made key hires in New York, Chicago, Texas, Denver, Seattle, Los Angeles and the Silicon Valley area.
The list of the Top 100 Women-Led Businesses in Massachusetts was determined based on revenue, operating budget and other variables, including number of full-time employees, workplace and management diversity and innovative projects. The 2016 honorees were revealed on Friday, October 28 at a breakfast at the Seaport Hotel in Boston and featured in the October 30 edition of The Boston Globe Magazine.
